Adventures along far away dirt roads, breezing past fields of palm trees in this blissfully green vintage Grand Wagoneer are calling! One can dream, can’t she?

Destination Wedding in Moorea – 1

Dear Moorea, I love you.  Yes, yes I do.

In fact, I love a lot of what I saw and experienced on several of French Polynesia’s volcanic Society Islands.  How could you not?  I hope the photos are worth all the words I would otherwise (and inadequately) insert into this post to describe the deep beauty of these islands and this culture.

Pecan Pie Dreams

I’m not sure what it is, but I can’t stop dreaming about this perfect piece of pecan pie (say that 5 times fast) from The Salt Lick in Driftwood, Texas today!  So so good.

I don’t remember having pecan pie much as a kid, so its not some old nostalgia pulling me in.  In fact, my earliest memory of trying this pie is as an adult.  After this here piece of sweet goodness though, all other pecan pie memories are now tarnished.  More on Texas and The Salt Lick BBQ stop another time.  This post is just for a randomly sweet (but not too sweet), fleeting, pecan memory.  By the way, you should have dessert today…I think you deserve it.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  Thank you for all of your support.  I am really looking forward to 2009.

…loving a bit of winter wonderland.  Enjoy.

Planes, trains and automobiles…boats, too.

I have just returned from an amazing month of traveling up and down the East Coast! The weddings I photographed were filled with wonderful people and great locations and I look forward to sharing some images in future blog entries…

Airplanes flew me between San Francisco, New York City, Boston and Southwest Florida.

I traversed cities and states on a multitude of trains (Amtrak, Metro North, NYC Subways, Boston T lines) bringing me to stops in Boston, NYC and my home state of Connecticut.

Various roads, cars and even a bus, brought me from NYC to the beautiful South Fork of the Hamptons, on a rainy roadtrip up to New Hampshire, as well as back and forth to various other locales. I was hoping to include a bicycle as part of my road travel but I wisely concluded that it would have been difficult to manage with all my gear!

To really round things out, I cruised along the Long Island Sound on a Cross Island Ferry — from the Hamptons up to see the beginnings of leaves changing in New England.  Fall in New England is truly one of my favorite things.

On that note, travel, too, is one of my favorite things. I am so fortunate that my work allows me opportunities to shoot for clients all over the country and abroad!
