Katie and Mike celebrated their wedding day in several fantastic San Francisco locations!
A number of key moments of their story are all centered within this great city. They met at San Francisco’s annual Black and White Ball and later became engaged at Crissy Field. On the day of the wedding, Katie and Mike chose to meet up in a suite at the Fairmont Hotel, atop Nob Hill. From there, we went to Pacific Heights to enjoy the view and take some couple’s photos. Following their ceremony in the gorgeous St. Mark’s Lutheran church, trolleys took guests downtown to The City Club of San Francisco located in the Stock Exchange Tower — this is a wonderful, art deco, financial district location.
One of the details I especially liked was that as an alternative to wedding cake, Katie and Mike opted for not only a table of Italian cookies but even better, an old fashioned gelato cart serving up three absolutely delicious, all-organic flavors! Sean Boyle, the owner of SF Gelato, was recently the “Ice Cream Curator” (now that is an expert title that I can work towards…) for San Francisco’s recent Slow Food Nation event.
Table names were all meaningful locations to the couple which were later brought downstairs and placed on the guestbook table along with some old family wedding photos. The day was jubilant, elegant and so fun to be a part of. Congratulations, Katie and Mike!
