Set on a gorgeous private estate in Sonoma atop some seriously scenic hills, Jenny & Tyler celebrated a pretty spectacular wedding day. Previously featured on the SMP blog, the post created such a happy stir that it was selected for inclusion in Style Me Pretty’s most recent and full of beauty e-magazine Best of Weddings 2012 (turn to page 44, “For the Love of Pink”). Enjoy!

A rained out wedding is heartbreaking. That said, I think it made “Take Two” all the more special for Meika & Joe’s wedding. Here is the beautiful, sunshine-filled Part Two to this outdoor wedding in Winters!
This wedding can also be seen on the print pages and online for the Premiere issue of California Brides magazine published by Modern Luxury. More info and photos can also been seen on the well-loved wedding inspiration blog, Snippet & Ink.

Oh, rainy days, you make the sunshine all the sweeter.

That beautiful sunshine in the photo above? That is not how this wedding started… Here is a two-part wedding story that is easily a “stand out” in my wedding experiences to date. Emarie of The Collection Event Studio is both a colleague and a friend and she also happens to be Meika’s sister. With tireless planning skills and lots of love, she pulled together a great event with a dream team of other vendors that I feel fortunate to have worked with not once, but TWICE!
Take One: Some getting ready/details, Meika & Joe’s pre-ceremony portraits and then the raindrops started and kept going and going…

Love at first sight– as soon as I saw this crazy oak, I was done. And as if I could not admire this graceful and funky tree more (and this sweet, gracious couple), I am happy that this photo was selected for this year’s PDN magazine’s Top Knots contest in the Portraits section!
This photo was taken in Carmel Valley for Katie & Dan’s destination wedding at Holman Ranch. The Top Knots contest is printed and online in PDN’s Wedding Issue (May issue). Congratulations to all the winners — great work!

Need some beautiful bursts of fresh color today? One of my favorite weddings that I’ve shot (a destination wedding on the island of Moorea, French Polynesia) is up on the Style Me Pretty Destination blog. Look out for more photos shared on here very soon, too!

The idea of a hope chest or trousseau is such a warm and lovely concept. There is something very dear about women either making or gifting beautiful linens for their engaged friend in anticipation of married life.

We were so fortunate to collaborate with the charming and very talented Jess Flood Event Design team who developed this idea of a Modern Trousseau themed bridal shower. They sourced all props, arranged the floral designs (love those spring cherry blossoms!) and even whipped together the dessert display! Thanks also to our beautiful model, Ticiana. Her soft, natural features worked perfectly with our cool gray and blush color palette.
