Wedding at Solage Calistoga

Annie & Andrew’s wedding at Solage Calistoga is featured on the Carats & Cake blog today. Perfectly planned by MAP Events with florals from Cherries Flowers. Hope you enjoy a bit of this eye candy…check it out!

Urban Safari

Here are some photos from a collaboration I did earlier this year at The Lab Event at San Francisco’s Ferry Building. This vignette, designed by Kelsey Sheofsky from Shelter Co. and Danielle Rowe from Brown Paper Design, was based on an urban safari. Elements of neon and African-inspired linens along with some of my fine art travel photography on display helped pull the whole feel of it together. Batter Bakery provided some vibrantly colored sweets including zebra-striped treats.  Minted customized one of their standard invitation suites to match the theme as well. Thanks also to Casa de Perrin & Blueprint Studios for some of their rentals.

This collaboration can also be seen on 100 Layer Cake.

SMP’s Best of Weddings 2012

Set on a gorgeous private estate in Sonoma atop some seriously scenic hills, Jenny & Tyler celebrated a pretty spectacular wedding day.  Previously featured on the SMP blog, the post created such a happy stir that it was selected for inclusion in Style Me Pretty’s most recent and full of beauty e-magazine Best of Weddings 2012 (turn to page 44, “For the Love of Pink”). Enjoy!

Flower Magazine

Flower magazine put out a great spread on Kelle & Gregg’s wedding in Mendocino along with highlighting an image from this on the cover, too.  Thank you, Flower!

This wedding was previously published on 100 Layer Cake.  Special thanks for design and planning by Alison Events and florals by Natalie Bowen Designs.

Meika & Joe’s Wedding in Winters: Part 2

A rained out wedding is heartbreaking.  That said, I think it made “Take Two” all the more special for Meika & Joe’s wedding.  Here is the beautiful, sunshine-filled Part Two to this outdoor wedding in Winters!

This wedding can also be seen on the print pages and online for the Premiere issue of California Brides magazine published by Modern Luxury.  More info and photos can also been seen on the well-loved wedding inspiration blog, Snippet & Ink.

Meika & Joe’s Wedding in Winters: Part 1

Oh, rainy days, you make the sunshine all the sweeter.

That beautiful sunshine in the photo above?  That is not how this wedding started…  Here is a two-part wedding story that is easily  a “stand out” in my wedding experiences to date.  Emarie of The Collection Event Studio is both a colleague and a friend and she also happens to be Meika’s sister.  With tireless planning skills and lots of love, she pulled together a great event with a dream team of other vendors that I feel fortunate to have worked with not once, but TWICE!

Take One:  Some getting ready/details, Meika & Joe’s pre-ceremony portraits and then the raindrops started and kept going and going…

PDN Magazine: Top Knots Contest

Love at first sight– as soon as I saw this crazy oak, I was done.  And as if I could not admire this graceful and funky tree more (and this sweet, gracious couple), I am happy that this photo was selected for this year’s PDN magazine’s Top Knots contest in the Portraits section!

This photo was taken in Carmel Valley for Katie & Dan’s destination wedding at Holman Ranch.    The Top Knots contest is printed and online in PDN’s Wedding Issue (May issue).  Congratulations to all the winners — great work!
