Allison and David are a wonderful couple that has been together for about 8 or 9 years now!  All of their festivities took place at BR Cohn, a beautiful wedding location in Sonoma. Kudos to Allison who made not only one, but three versions of their wedding invitation:  one in Vietnamese for her family, one in French for David’s Canadian heritage and one in English.  All were handmade and they tied in the color palette of purples and lavenders that were sprinkled throughout the day in the bridesmaid dresses and the floral elements.  As wedding favors, guests were handed individual Italian soaps which were personalized with Allison’s handwriting.  The escort cards, also in Allison’s lovely penmanship, detailed some of the couple’s favorite destinations together.

I recently got together with them and we returned to one of our very first conversations (with David) regarding his involvement as a guide with the Sierra Club Snow Camping trips.  I loved the idea from the start– maybe one of these days I will be in his group on one of those weekend trips– snowshoeing, camping, photographing and, as David attests, eating very well in the process!  I love learning more about the couples I work with.  I feel that it enriches the experience for all of us working together– not only on the big day, but sometimes, long afterward, too.
